it's not called show friends, it's called show business!

Wow.

Just plain wow.

Between December 2005 and March 2007 I kept a sporadic livejournal account of my life and loves (which at the time was Stargate Atlantis Slash). Then abruptly abandoned the whole thing.

It is fascinating to re-read my entries from back when I was a twenty year old student living in Wellington. I attended the King Kong premiere, had my wisdom teeth removed, moved into my first flat with unbridled excitement, grew to hate my flatmates, moved, worked, studied, dated, posted a lot about my love of teh pr0n.

In the four years past I grew up a little. I graduated with a degree in Film & Theatre, got a full time job at Wellington Airport doing accounts, moved to a great place near to work, lost a heap of weight (and in the process became a gym junkie), started baking A LOT and developing my love of cake decorating, fell out of love with Stargate Atlantis, after 18 months I quit my job and moved to Sydney, Australia. I lived with my Aunt & Uncle (a trial for both parties involved), studied at NIDA, worked for a telecommunications company in the city, attended a fantastic gym and developed a massive crush on my Zumba instructor, SAVED MONEY, made some fantastic friends whom I truly miss. Then after ten months my contract was up and I hopped a plane to Vancouver, Canada to pursue my dream of becoming a professional actress. After almost ten years of talking about moving to Canada I finally did it - not knowing anyone here nor ever traveling beyond the Antipodes.

I made some great friends, studied acting some more, did a student film, got an agent and now work full time as an Executive Assistant downtown whilst waiting for my Agent to ring with the BIG BREAK. I also fell head of over heels in love with Vancouver from day one.

Then one day my roommate suggested we go and see The Eagle for Tuesday movie night.

Hello new fandom.

Hello new SLASH OTP

Which has managed to lead me all the back to my LJ account. And my first post in over four years. I don't imagine I will keep this up for long (hopeless blogger...I'm more of a lurker) but I figure in 2016 I will come back here and have a giggle and marvel at my 25 year old self.

This entry is dedicated to poziomeczka the fierce Scottish person I have befriended through our mutual love of all thing Jamie Bell/The Eagle. She is an enabler. This is a good thing.
