Damn Homie
It's been a long time since I've updated. Yep, long time. A lot has happened in the last few weeks. I'll just stick to the major things. Concerning Simeon, I've decided what I want to do after I move. I am going to start a band. It will still be Simeon. It will almost be like a "Simeon Music Project" with branches in Columbus and Dallas/Ft. Worth, except we won't call it that. We might not call it that. We might call it that. Anyways, I am going to continue writing music with Qortra. We are going to collaborate with each other, play "Simeon Music Project" songs along with songs from our respective branches. It's going to work out. Sooner or later there will be Simeon branches all across America!!!!!! Probably not, but that would be sweedish. Speaking of Simeon, we've been finishing up Morning Sunshine. Derek has been laying down some good vocals lately, Qotra has been doing some mix master flashjam studio work, Chris has been setting down bass tracks, and I have been setting down guitar tracks. We will hopefully be as done as we are ever going to be with Morning Sunshine this weekend. Then we are going to start marketing somehow. Qortra has a few ideas. Christina and Sandy have been coming up with good suggestions, too. Cool!
I've had a pretty interesting week. My girlfriend, Mandy, left for Ft. Worth last Thursday to check out Texas Christian University. She got accepted into their graduate program in psychology with full tuition remission and a $17,000/year stipend. I think that is swell. I've been getting a lot of good feedback from the classics department at The University of Dallas. I think they might persuade me to attend after another year of community college. I will just leave it in God's hands though. Also, I've been having wierd conversations with my dad this week. He seems a little out there. I am trying to bring him back down somehow. Once again, I will be praying a lot for him and I ask everybody out there to do the same. He really needs it. Well, I must get going because Derek just finished some food that I am going to politely steal. Then Latin!!!!! Check this out, too. I saw Derek's and I thought this would make me look cool!!! All it really does is show how much of a loser I really am. Peace in the Mid West. John
