Creating 100% digital art...

Today I started on my first 100% digital image. That's right, no pencils or sketch books here, just an artistic love triangle between Photoshop, a Wacom tablet, and myself. This is going to be an image called "By Any Means Necessary" and it's based on a D&D campaign I played in WAY back in highschool. The guy on the far left is Ferekar Greyrobe, my grey elf mage. The guy on the right is Galahad Breechworth, my friend Derek's paladin. There is a TON of story here so I'll summarize. Basically Ferekar was true nuetral and Galahad chaotic good. For those unfamiliar with D&D that means Ferekar is a moderate. He tries to analyze every situation logically and choose the best course of action. Galahad is like a pentecostal preacher on steroids. He believes there is only one way to live a good and just life, which is the way of his diety, and those that delve into darkness, or for that matter the grey area inbetween the dark and the light... he is quick to deliver swift punishment.

Well our group ended up in ravenloft, a land where every magical spell you cast has the potential to warp your body and poor Ferekar fell victim to this several times. (Hence the wings and horns) Being the logical thinker he was he decided if he was waist deep in darkness, why not wield a bit of it for his own safety and so... he began to dabble in necromancy in secret. When Galahad found out it didnt matter that he and Ferekar had been long time friends and companions. The two had always disagreed about everything, and the paladin was quick to take action. Pictured here is my rough first attempt at capturing their epic battle. The undead haven't been added yet though. :D
