in the land of OZ

Going here was uneventful. except that a stupid old man opened up the compartment on top of me and his small laptop fell. it didn't break, cause it landed on my chest. I gave him a nasty shout, which alerted all the passengers and stewardess' that for a moment, i think they all thought the plane was being hijacked. Their heads all turned in panic and eyes wide with fear and expectation... lol.

my 3rd day here in California. I decided to sleep over in my cousins house, which has a smashing new VAIO laptop (already full of spyware) and a 2mb broadband cable connection, pron. An interesting thing, since I came out of the airport, this is probably the only time I formed english words in my head. and i haven't had any conversation in english whatsoever. iv'e been around the neighborhood already, went to a WAL-MART, ate at burger king one time and went to a college (but no one was there though), and all i have met are Filipinos. I went asking "saan po yung mga tsinelas?" and the lady in Wal mart responded with "dun sa mga sapatos sa sulok" like we were in an SM department store. I can't believe how huge the Filipino population here is. I went to a Couples for Christ sponsored christmas party, and 85% in attendance were Filipinos, singing Filipino christmas carols in their individual performances. It's good the jews and the mexicans which comprise of the other 15% didn't feel left out, they were actually dancing to the beat of our carols.

just waiting for people to wake up, it's just 6:30 am
