Home Sweet Home

I am terribly lazy with my LJ but I am going to try to sum it up. I spent time with my friend Barb, who was in town from Alaska on Sunday and Tuesday night. She pretty much whipped my ass at pool. I got REALLY wasted Tuesday night. HAD much fun !! I hope by some miracle I am able to visit her in the next 3 months that she'll be back in Alaska.
After JIZZY cancelled (DAMMIT) I decided to keep my plans to go to Chicago for "Vacation at Julie's", which I highly recommend by the way. I left Thursday late afternoon, hit hellarushhourtraffic, got there about mmm, maybe 6ish Chicago time. Talked about my situation with asshat and the events that led up to this situation. Then I got all dolled up. Then I probably went online because I have a serious addiction. Then I think was my favorite part when Stef walked through the door and told me how hot I was right off the bat. I did look like a hooker but I thoroughly enjoyed her reaction. Then we went to "the Mutiny", um BOD on the jukebox was great but other than that the place was quite torturous and we didn't even meet the sludger that we went there to have a drink with.
From there we spent what seemed like forever looking for a parking spot for NEO. Man I could not live in a big town and deal with that shortage of parking and all the traffic. No patience here. I loved NEO, thought it was really fun, really interesting people, fun times !! However about 12 or 1 my time I got extremely tired and was just about falling asleep standing up. I had only had a few hours of sleep the night before and it caught up with me. So great friend that she is XiolaBlux took me back to her place, I went online for a minute, then crashed. For like 10 or 12 hours. Got up, got online, and then napped somemore. I can't explain how wonderful it was to not have to take care of kids, clean, or work-- fucking awesome.
Let's see, then I got dolled up again, got online again. Eventually Xiolablux dragged me away from the PC and we went, got Stef and ate. Cool place, great food, couldn't tell you the name but I know she did. Then we went and saw 4 bands at the Metro. I knew none of the music but managed to drink about 7-8 drinks, and I started off slow !! Then at the after-party I drank 3 more !! I proceeded to accept the adoration of some not so hot, or young men, but not hideous or gross in my opinion. XiolaBlux and Stef were very awesome to let me stay and play.........pool, far beyond when they would have probably have liked to have left. And I must say the tunes after the band at the party were killer. When we did finally leave, the sun was out and I was SHOCKED. I totally had no concept of time those last few hours at the party. The rest is a blur but I do know I ate my 2nd half of my philly cheesesteak sandwich I had left from dinner and i was soooooooo glad I'd saved some. I slept til I think about 11 my time, jumped up, packed up, and headed home. Wow this is getting too long.
I came home, picked up the 3 kids from 3 places, unpacked, repacked, went up to my grandparents house in Muskegon, where my dad was visiting fom NC. Had dinner, napped, colored Easter eggs with my grown sister, cousin, and the kids. I went to bed and my dad hid 81 eggs. Got up, the kids found all 81 eggs, packed the car with what I had brought plus plenty of goodies from grandma, headed home. Unpacked, then packe dup my daughters with a weeks worth of stuff. Took my step-son to his mom's where he will be spending spring break, then drove to Meringo, IL, which is the 1/2 way point between me and my friend's houses who took my daughters for thier spring break. We met at a gas station, had a cup of coffee, transferred the kids belongings to her van, and I came home (and got online.
Since Thursday I went 747.5 miles, my truck ran for 14.33 hours, averaged 17.2 mpg, and spent $104 in gas. I feel like i should be in NC or MS by now, yet I am home.
X and Stef, thankyou so much for a wonderful relaxing time !!! Barb, sorry I didn't have the opportunity to go out more but I am really glad we got to visit, talk to you soon.
