Akira loved Shuji.
Shuji loves Akira (even if he doesn't say it out loud).
And they lived happily together forever.
For Yamashita, he did not like Kamenashi. Kamenashi's attitude irritated him. Hence, he had resented that he had to work with him on nobuta, but he had no choice in it.
For Kamenashi, he was not looking forward at the idea of debuting with Yamapi because it had became a sore spot for him and KAT-TUN, but he had no say in it either.
For them, they did not expect much out of nobuta wo produce than what they had to do.
They had to play make believe, being the idols that they were, on set and off set: groping of ass, hugs and secret smiles.
Yet, somewhere along the way, the smiles and laughter became real. It was no longer difficult to be in character or differentiate character from truth because what they shared was a genuine friendship. Just like Shuji and Akira.
It was not a sudden realisation but a gradual acceptance that you no longer disliked him as much as you had thought. He had become your constant companion these days with the long hours on the set. The time that the both of you spent together was enjoyable. You treasure those carefree times.
And when nobuta times had ended, there was promises of keeping in touch but life became busy.
Sometimes you wonder what would it be like if things had been different; if the both of you had remained good friends.
Sometimes you wonder if that was why your smile was never quite the same or as radiant as it was back then.
Because maybe you have forgotten something.
