So... Life, the Universe... and Everything!!
No, seriously. A lot has been going on for me this past week and a half. I'm starting to feel more like an adult, which is a scary thought.
I've just got up from bed, cus last night I *went* to bed at six in the morning. Guess it was today? Huh. Went to the big Halloween party I always go. It was better than last year's party, and I got to dance all the songs I *have* to dance in this events. Madonna, Britney, Christina, SexyBack, It's Raining Men, lots of SuperNova and the most important one: Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This).
The party this year seem to be a lot more "gay" than usual, which kind of surprised my friends. It is weird for me to deal with them sometimes, they are tolerant, but they are *very* aware of their tolerance. They know there's nothing wrong with homosexuality, but it still something "different" for them, which means, outside the norm. It has never been like that for me, I've never *felt* any different, and I know they never think about me when they say those things, but they still don't *get* it. It doesn't really bug me because I'm bi, but because that's the way I see things on other subjects too, I guess my norm is too wide?
Yesterday I finished my last translation before going out, this one for a webpage of a mining company! How awesome am I? Yay! I had to turn down another one for this weekend, though, cus I have too much homework. I do like the feeling of doing this, I want to keep earning money like this, I have to star planning my trip to Mexico next year, I need the money!
About work, I went to talk to a friend of my dad that works on stuff related to my career. She will see if she can get me a job for January in San Pedro de Atacama. If it works, you'll know where my postcards will be coming from this summer! I didn't want to leave Santiago this summer if it wasn't to visit Valparaiso, but work is work. I still have to find something for December.
I'm guessing taking German again this summer is out of the question. I will work on my Japanese books, then, and take the English test so I can do more translations!
Last weekend Daniela came to visit. We ate sushi and gyoza. She also made me eat unagi sashimi. UNAGI!! And I did! And I lived to tell the tale! It tastes like fish, nothing fancy (thankfully). Next time it has to *takoyaki*. I'm going crazy, and It's all Daniela's fault!
Last friday I went with my mom to the Museum of Fashion. It was weird. Neither my mom or I are very... fancy? We don't care much about fashion, but we love museums, so we gave it a shot. There it was an exposition about post-war fashion after both world wars. Interesting, and my mom kept saying "that's what my mom used to wear! and that my grandma!" pointing at everything. We did fell in love with the big yard around the museum. It's a huge house with a Japanese garden specially made for the owners. Beautiful.
I had another field trip last monday. I have a new one this next monday, and thursday, and the next thursday after that. And lots, lots of homework. Sigh.
I finally saw Kanjani8's new PV. I have issues with it. After Weeeek, I can't really see salary men and *not* think of NEWS. This one was kinda the same, but with more props. They got better lighting than NEWS' *last* PV, thankfully. Still, Eito has better ones. Like Osaka Rainy Blues, that I just got to see this week too. I'm totally in love with that song right now.
I also watched the second episode of Ryusei no Kizuna. I have lots of things to say about that drama, but I'll wait to episode three to comment on it. I've been reading the novel, is nice, though depressing. I do think I like the siblings better in there, sadly. But, as I said, I'm waiting the third episode to comment.
I'm getting hungry. Better get something to eat.
