Nataly! Call me! I'm about to be invaded by relatives and then left to fed for myself the next week because everyone will be out on vacation (except for my grandma). Considering that, why don't you come stay a few days?? CALL ME!! (there's a shiny present waiting for you~)

I haven't heard of a second season yet but i'm assuming it's going to happen since the last scene of the drama was showing her in the airport and at the end they wrote something along the lines of see you next time. And considering the quite good ratings, i really think Fuji will take the chance with a second season.
I'm eagerly waiting for Eriko-san's drama. I see most people don't like this twitter idea but when i first read about it, i was reminded of a Hollywood movie with Meg Ryan & Tom Hanks (?) where they started talking through emails and fell in love eventually. It was sweet so i'm hoping this one will be too. Orange Days is the other drama i had watched of Kitagawa Eriko and i'm waiting for Heaven's Postman as well since it was not only written by her but also has Jae Joong from DBSK & one of my favorite Korean girls, Han Hyo Joo. And i have wanted to watch One Million Stars Falling from the Sky but Fukatsu Eri is a major turn-off for me.
I see you're a major fan of police drama. I love them as well but i'm also craving for comedy & romance.
But not comedy as in Yamanade, i swear i tried liking this drama but it's just.. no. Not even for Tego & Uchi, i cannot continue watching it. But i tried reading the manga a few years ago and couldn't finish that one also.
And that lady who's rumoured to co-star with Kimutaku, i think she's Chinese? Her name looks Chinese to me anyway. I guess no Shinohara this time, i wonder if she's the one refusing offers coz it's been some time since she played in a drama series.

I actually like almost all genres out there. I end up liking dramas for a lot of different reasons, but it's true that I like a good twist the best and good police dramas make that happen more often. Still, I don't have a favorite genre. I've tried them all at least once!
I'll give you my favorites list, see if you can get an idea of my taste (from less to top fav):
Unfair, One Million Stars Falling from the Sky, Nodame Cantabile, Hero, Triangle, Ikebukuro West Gate Park, Code Blue, Anego, Orange Days, First Kiss, Love Shuffle, Change, Sore wa Totsuzen Arashi no you ni, Stand Up!!, Proposal Daisakusen, Security Police, Tiger & Dragon, Kisarazu Cat's Eye, Nobuta wo Produce, Long Love Letter.
The only drama that's closer to comedy I think it's Kisarazu? Maybe Tiger & Dragon as well, but the comedy here is very "Japanese" sometimes, or just waaaaay out there in most of others, so not everyone gets it. I think both dramas are pretty much the best thing I've seen when it comes to making a drama. You watched IWGP, right? Same scriptwriter, more humor, a LOT less violence! (and several of the same actors and directors)
I tried watching Yamanade as well. Just... no. The whole plot is too stupid for me to take. Not to mention the sloppy camera work and not really the best performances... so no. Ug.
Shinohara had a baby last year or the year before, that's why she stopped working on dramas. She's back in the game now, supposedly, that's why there are drama rumors of her once again ^^
