Thank you! They always save each other. *g* (I think Valjean needs saving less -- he had the Bishop, and Cosette -- Javert never gets that moment of redemption, which is very unfair.)

Thanks so much -- that is a beautiful phrase, you should use it in a story! (And who drew your icon? That is gorgeous!) It is canon to me that Valjean saves Javert -- otherwise all the insistence on love as salvation rings hollow.

I agree with you completely on Valjean saving Javert. I don't like reading stories where it is the other way around. It just doesn't bode well with me.

I'm laughing because Delta only read that story because I told her to. I knew I was not going to be able to resist Les Mis fandom, despite doing so very well for decades, as soon as I saw Russell Crowe in Javert's uniform.
