On the way home today at 7:50pm the weather report was 106 degrees Fahrenheit with 8% humidity!

Yes it is. Today felt a whole lot better than many humid days in the 80s in MI. All the same were only in the middle of June and haven't had several of these days in a row, let alone several of these days in a row during the monsoon season.

Imagine humidity plus 100+ degree days. I'm not looking forward to that!

Here's a webpage (http://ag.arizona.edu/maricopa/garden/html/weather/monsoon.htm). Apparently, it could start any time now. The radio stations haven't been warning us though so I'm thinking this will be a normal year and it'll begin some time in July.

The Arizona "Monsoon"

Probably the most confusing and often debated weather event in Arizona is our so called "monsoon". Just the word conjures up visions of torrential rains and widespread flooding followed by heat and drought. The drastic wet/dry combination is the example that most of us learned about in school. However, the monsoon actually occurs in varying degrees, and ours is marginal, just not as intense as those found in other parts of the world ( ... )
