Tests
I've been reading, and I've been searching, and I've been writing, and I've come to a conclusion. Standardized tests are stupid. They don't seem to serve any real purpose except to make money for the companies that create them. Now, I live in Canada, and we don't have to write SATs, but some Canadian students want to go to school in the States, so they do. I run a coaching service, for the SAT, LSAT, GMAT, GRE and some others. There are perhaps two that seem to serve some useful function, the others are just wastes of time money and paper.
Hopefully the colleges and universities start to realize this soon.
