essentialism ROCKS

So, I got bored yesterday. What does a person do when they're bored? Walk around downtown Toronto for three hours, of course! AND I was in a skirt... because when it's 40 degrees out, everyone wants to wear a skirt. I got leered at. It was... interesting.
I called Adeel, who had just gotten back from a run, and he said he'd come hang out with me, so I had to hang around the corner of Spadina and College for thirty minutes, because I didn't want to walk BACK down College and have the creepy homeless man who I hadn't given money twice already leer at me. So I stood outside Green Room and pretended I was meeting someone, and some guy who was standing there gave me a light. We had a three second awkward conversation, and then a five-minute awkward staring off into space contest while he waited for his real friends and I waited for my fake ones. When his friend finally got there, they stood outside for ANOTHER five minutes, not-so-inconspicuously talking about me. When they finally went inside, I had to pretend my phone rang and leave.
Then I stood outside 7-11 for about 15 minutes, eating a lollipop. More leering ensued. Note to self: skirt=bad idea in Kensington and on College and Spadina.
Adeel finally showed up, but he ran away so that he could creep up on me from a different direction. I told him that it didn't matter what direction he came from: I had a bad sense of direction, and wouldn't know the difference. Then we got Thai Food... and I solved my existential crisis with some help from DR. ADEEEEEEL. (that should be said in one of those loud, echo-y, sci-fi movie voices. Like Lost in Space or something.)
