Big News!
Phone rang at 8:30 this morning. Groggily (is that a word?) I picked up the phone to hear the chipper voice of Becky Williams from SEIU.
"Good morning, Daniel. How are you this morning?"
"Morning, Becky. I'll tell you how I am this morning after you tell me whatever it is you have to tell me (chuckles)."
"Well, I'm calling to let you know that we'd like to offer you a position with SEIU."
"That's great!"
"There is one catch though..."
"Oh, what's that?"
"I've selected you for the Columbus/Dayton/Cincinnati region. Are you still interested?"
"Absolutely."
"Good. Second catch. Can you drive down tonight and start tomorrow?"
"Wow."
Sooo.... I'm getting my things in order, and I'll be driving down to Columbus tonight. I'll temporarily be staying in a Radison hotel until I find a new place to live.
Brain is going 1,000,000 miles an hour. But this is... amazing.
If anyone living in Columbus feels like giving me the grand tour of the city, please give my cell a call (330-360-1850) PLUS... if anyone knows where the affordable suburbs are in the city, that would also be appreciated information! :-D
