1-2 Hours Extra Sleep Helps Kill PainAn amusing little article... I'd agree in principle that sleep can help things, but there's a couple of things painfully wrong here.
One, painfully small sample size. Six dudes does not a decent study make.
Two, they were all perfectly healthy. Nice as a placebo effect, lousy if you're trying to look at how it actually helps those suffering from chronic pain like the article mentions.
What if you're one of those people who can't lie in the same spot for more than four hours, or you'll wake up feeling like rubbish? Like an extra hour's sleep's going to help then!
Cute idea, but unfortunately a lousy study.
