Oh, what the heck...
I'm sitting here at home, bored. Okay, I'm trying to wrap up a book report for tomorrow and I'm taking a bit of a break... okay, I'm lying. I'm just slacking off right now. Now that spring break is over, of course all the work piled up... book report (that I will say is 99% completed), two tests, and a speech (which I haven't even touched yet).
Spring break wasn't half bad. I worked a little more but that equals a larger paycheck this week. Got to hang out with Stephanie and Michael when they were in town. And, as luck would have it, spring break coincided with E-Days up at CSM. Yes, I braved the crappy weather on Thursday (I was stranded for 10 minutes or so outside of Fairplay due to white-out, zero-visibility conditions... but hey, all my passes were melted off! Yeah!), and unfortunately the crappy weather caused the fireworks to be cancelled. It cleared up for the Ore Cart Pull on Friday, where I was able to say hi and chat with a lot of friends who I haven't seen in a good while! It was a quick trip to Golden as I had to turn right back around and head home on Saturday, but the best thing about the weekend was that it wasn't home. It wasn't Durango. It wasn't work. It wasn't the same routine. It was a break that was well deserved. Only wish it could've been longer.
But now I'm back to the same routine of work and school. Choir practice starts up again tomorrow for our May concert. That should be a lot of fun as it's gonna be all showtunes, and I'll probably have another chance at a solo/ensemble piece or two ^_^
