East, West, Home is best (mostly :p)

My first week back to my "real life" is coming to a close. It's been pretty normal; work/small group/study. I am clinging to the calm mind and nerves I acquired on vacation! New Hampshire and Cape Code were goregous! New Hampshire is charming and Cape Cod is rich in history. See here for pictures. I brought home some jewelry and books and lots of postcards. The best part was seeing Aunt Patti. Oh, how I missed her. :-/ She's basically my adopted grandmother and she's the most beautiful person I know. Being around her for five days did me so much good, even when we weren't talking or really doing anything. She's just the best, most fun 60-something I will ever meet. :) We were gone for about 8 days and I'm happy to say that I really saw my family relax and have fun together. We went kayaking, canoing, swimming and hiking in New Hampshire. At Cape Cod we took my brother to the ocean, visited Plymouth Plantation, and climbed the Pilgrim Monument in Provincetown. Also while in Provincetown- a trip to the historic Cape Cod Lighthouse. It was moved several years back to keep it from falling into the Atlantic. We got to stand on a cliff 125ft above the ocean. It was easily my favorite stop of the entire trip! :-D I'm proud of myself for keeping up a journal for most of the week's events.

So, I'm home. :) Planning shows, planning a play, finishing my credits *inwardly groans*, catching up with friends, working on projects for AMF. On top of that, I have a possible job opportunity for next summer already! (No thanks to myself, it came out of no where). I love my life here but I miss the beauty of New England.
