OK, now that I've calmed down some, I think I'll explain the entire story. Basically, at around 5 o'clock yesterday, I put my computer to sleep, and went to the bathroom. After I came back, I opened up the lid and pressed a button to take it off standby, but instead it just turned off. I tried the power button a couple times, but the most that would happen is a few lights flicking on, then off on the keyboard. I figured, since problems like this have happened before, I'll wait a half hour to see if it still doesn't work. Half hour goes by, it still doesn't, and I of course flip out. I called my mom, and she gave me the number of the people she bought it from, and so I talked to the guy and he said since he actually had an extra laptop with him (same model) he would just send it to me by mail, and it would be here by Tuesday or Wednesday. Sounded good, but it didn't exactly help my current situation, because like I said I had a speech due by the next day. So I ran over to the library and typed like mad and got most of it back from memory. So, I wasn't totally screwed. I ended up getting a good portion of it done, but when it came time to do the outline I realized I had left the handout for doing the outline in my dorm. So, I raced back there, and while I was back I called my mom, and she offered to just bring the laptop to me. I felt bad saying yes, but she insisted and said it wasn't a problem, so I said alright. I kept working at it, and by the time she got here I had a good portion of it done, or so I thought at least....I still ended up staying up pretty late, but the speech went alright, so woohoo. For now at least I have two computers, since right before I went to bed I checked the other computer, and it turned on. It certainly had a tough time booting, the power supply in it is definitely dying, because I could here the hard drive and such click on and off a couple times before it would start.
