長い時間をかけた

Funny how a simple thing can cause a chain of (reversible) events to occur.

Firstly I began watching Kamen Rider Den-O. After holding onto the music for 2+ years, I finally managed to watch the series. The series' good. Very good. Plot, humour, slash good. I watched 20-ish episodes within 2 days? Not bad considering how busy I should be right now (laughs).

Ryoutarou (Satou Takeru) speaks in a voice/acts in a way that is incredibly hard not to slash. I usually tend not to think along those lines when I watch dramas because they're all actors it'll lead my mind astray if I do. But Den-O broke my unspoken treaty. That and Gakuen Q. I'm really a sucker for frail main characters.

I'm more of a All!Taros/Ryoutarou fan right now, but I wonder if I like it because there are actual hints in the show or if it's because I'm influenced by my hero complex. Momotaros, definitely. Urataros, maybe. Kintaros, if you look at a certain angle. Ryuutaros, hmmmm. If a certain event triggers it. I'm racking the brain in my head right now trying to think of a possible scenario where that above situation can happen. Hm.

But I'm surprised at how the majority of the fandom (or maybe I just haven't looked deep enough) prefers Yuuto/Ryoutarou more. At this point in the series right now I think that Yuuto is more befitting to be bottom then top (laughs). If what Deneb says is correct, then Yuuto's such a Tsundere,

This leads me to my second chain reaction.

Because Climax Jump/Double Action is the best song ever, I decided to listen to all the different versions of the songs once more. Satou has such a good voice when he sings; he's wasted in becoming an actor only (laughs).

I liked all the versions of Double Action, even Kintaros' enka one. It's incredibly catchy once you listen to it a few more times. Now what was stupid of me was that all these years of listening to Double Action, I had assumed Momotaros VA was Seki Tomakazu (関 智一) when it was actually Seki Toshihiko (関 俊彦). I really deserved a bionk on the head. But it was just so hard to tell the difference! Both Seki has such a good singing voice~

I consider it pretty funny that it was listening to Suzumura's part of Climax Jump that made me realize Den-O's existence in the first place. Why was I listening to Climax Jump when I have never heard of the series 2+ years ago? Because I was in love with Suzumura's voice. Why was I in love with Suzumura's voice? Because the voice that voiced Ryuutaros was exactly the same pitch as when Suzumura voiced Ikaru in Kannagi no Tori. In the beginning, I had even imagined it was Ikaru that was singing Climax Jump with everybody else.

If that didn't set me off, it was probably Yusa Kouji voicing Urataros that did the trick. Again, it was the exact same pitch as when he voiced Hakkan in Kannagi no Tori. It was so, so, difficult not thinking back to the Kannagi no Tori whenever I see Urataros and Ryuutaros interacting.

Which lead me to the final chain reaction. I want to play Kannagi no Tori again. Badly. Looking back at my previous posts, I realized it had been a little over two years since I had finished the game. I had a regrettable two year break prior to finishing the game... so that would have made it 5~6 years since I've heard of the game before. Holy crap. Was I ever this sentimental? (laughs)

...

Ah screw it, I'm going to replay the game. Just gotta find the game among my pile of discs...
