Pretty exciting times

These last few weeks have been sanity stretching. I haven't felt normal in weeks.  I've been working nothing but 18 hours days (that includes weekends), never really getting great sleep, and always feeling like I'm on my last legs. Perhaps the most telling sign that I was not truly worn is that I always had a smile plastered on my face. Because I'm quite cognizant that life is not hard; it just involves toil.

That's why I was so thrilled to go running today. I couldn't really stop it.  I try lifting and stretching and yawning and acting all tired.  But I was not tired, even after chugging through several miles after a month off.  Oh I'm sore right now. That does not mean I had to quit.  I quit because, quite literally, I just wanted to eat a meal.  But I feel pretty strong right now; to waste a month away and get right back into the grind with very little effort means my base is very good right now.

I think, on my list of most relevant desires, I want time and a larger desk. In fact, I'd venture that I lust for those things.  After that, I would want to move back to New York.  While Boston has been grand, it still does feel lonely sometimes.

Still, in spite of it all, I'm really close to falling into a great rhythm. Looking forward to it.
