Well, that was weird.
I sort of ... blinked. And a week and a half flew by. Things got a tad bit tedious, which led to getting far too lazy by the time Monday rolled around. Broke that cycle with a very nice run today, which will be followed by a two-a-day tomorrow. I tried to tell myself I wouldn't do this during the week, but fuck it. It took a bit of time to rejigger my schedule against that of work, but it has been done.
In other news, I think my knee is finally back up to 95%. My right knee had been bugging me forever, and I'm finally taking long strides without a burst of pain there. Since high school, it's never really been the same. Furthermore, I'm sure those middle years of packing weight on it in college while still playing r-ball certainly didn't help. As I lean back down, past even my lowest weight in high school, it's nice to see the stress fall off of it.
I don't really know what hobby I want to invest in. A lot of people suggest that a person who is a nerd, with a lot of time, should turn investment into a hobby. I'm not sure that I am smart/dedicated/obsessed enough to make more money out of money. Then again, I'm also the type of person who likes to listen to the same song 5-6 times in a row to try and hear each instrument. I'm going the safe route first, but I did enjoy gambling a little bit when I was at Clarkson; who's to say the stock market ain't the same?
But realistically, I need gadgets. People, give me some recs of gadgets between 150-300 bucks. I need to 'invest' in some toys over the next year. Bonus: If you come to Boston to stay over, free reign to use the gadgets that I amass.
The only thing I'm not taking the time to do at the end of the day is sketch a little bit. I really should and I just end up dawdling and reading a little. I'm not sure it's a lack of energy, more so than the realization that I'm just not getting better because I'm always drawing the same thing. And here I thought young males enjoyed repetitive, cyclic activities. Speaking of which, 11:30 bedtime. Goodnight, Earth. Goodnight, Moon.
