What was I thinking?!

May 27, 2006 15:05

I think I've finally lost my mind. I spent an hour this morning setting up a profile on Match.com Eeep!

I am now in panic mode.

See? See?! This is what comes of suggestions made to you by your therapist. *grumbles* I do not have committment issues.

Okay, maybe just a few. Right now: fear of dating.

I used to have a profile there too, but methinks you're going have way more success than I ever had :))

*snort* Success seems daunting and impossible at this point. Do these things really work? I wonder.

Did you not like any of the men you met? Or is it that this form of dating attracts weirdo men? Gah. The unknown sucks.

They do work, definitely, and I did get interested guys. I guess it all depends on how far you're willing to go (meaning, just online friendship or actually meeting and dating ( ... )

Thanks for you vote of confidence regarding my potential as a date. I have a disappointment issue, too, so I really feel you on that front. I might have a decent upper body, but my thighs and hips are definitely present and accounted for in a big way. *cringe* Anyway, I really appreciate hearing your reassuring words, mostly because I was seriously spazzing at my own ridiculous daring earlier today. It also helps knowing you experienced some success with your online dating profile. So, thank you. At this point, I'm pretty much open to anything that could happen.

You'll definitely get a ton of responses. There's just no way you wouldn't. Just make sure you're comfortable setting some boundaries.

Haha you wanna know the main reason I stopped using it? Because my ex-boyfriend's profile showed a match to mine! Haha oh man. We never, ever spoke of it XD

I'm off to bed. I hope you're doing well :)
