Adventures of Swan
So, I've been incommunicado for what feels like ages because two of my best college friends were in town for about a week. Hence, I spent all my time going to work and adventuring with The Girls. I have missed you, flist. Truly. And now I'm really behind on all those challenges I signed up for. *sigh*
The Girls and I did lots and lots, but my favorite outings are the roadtrip we took to Santa Barbara and our visit to Joshua Tree National Park. The first took us to the Danish village of Solvang, which is smack in the middle of wine country. We tasted at the Blackjack vineyard where a scene in Sideways was filmed, which was neat even though I didn't particularly care for the film. We definitely got hammered in the classiest way possible, enough so that I had to switch from heels to flip flops. LOL. Joshua Tree was a success because I got the chance to indulge one of my hobbies - photography. I've uploaded my best shot and a pic of me atop the viewing point, looking out over the valley. The latter is purely gratuitous. :P Look at your own risk, too, because that's me after spending the morning hiking. Eeep!
