(no subject)
Like most good things, the break is coming to an end. Overall, my break was pretty alright.
A little while after I updated on Friday I drove over to my friend’s house where I got to hang out with one of the coolest people ever. We hung out and talked for a long while. We also watched some tv and played on the swings. I had such a blast. From there, I went over to Molly's to drop a few things off. We hung out for a short while which was a mighty good ending to my night.
On Saturday I had my first Philharmonia rehearsal since the tour. We are playing some awesome music. I'm pretty stoked for our concert in April; I think it's going to be amazing. Oh man! There's this one song that has this trumpet solo in!! AHHH!! I have never wanted a solo so bad before! It's such an beautiful solo. *sighs* I sight read it nearly perfect and then we played the song and I screwed up. *grumbles to self* Dr. Battan wants all of the trumpets to learn it and then we’ll have "try-outs" some time within the next few rehearsals to see who will get to play it. Oh well, so much for that solo, eh?
Speaking of music. I have so much to do! I'm kind of freakin' out about it all...=\ I have to audition within the next month or so which wouldn’t seem all that bad except for that fact that I only have one piece ready! I know what other song I'm going to play which I suppose is a start, but it's in C so I have to transpose it all and learn it well enough to perform. It wouldn't be that big of a deal except that I can't be accepted to the university or be considered for any more scholarships until I complete my audition and take the theory test. *sighs* Anywho...
After rehearsal I went home where I hung out with my mom for a little while. Then at around 8ish I went over to Molly's where I spent the rest of the night watching movies. It was a awesome night except for the fact that I got completely ditched by my "friends," but whatever.
I got home at around 11 this morning and have spent the rest of the day cleaning, reading, and hanging around. It's been a pretty wasted day, but I really needed it. I've been going nonstop this entire break so I think it is good that I took a little time off.
Anywho...I should probably go practice or study for my theory test tomorrow. Hope you all had a fantastic break!
