Today was hell

7:30am - Leave.
8:30am - Dr. Appointment for both Sally and I
12:00 Noon - Find lunch somewhere in Downtown Grand Rapids
10:00am - Be to Sally’s appointment with Diabetic Specialist
1:00pm - Sally’s Diabetes Ed Classes
4:30pm - Finally home.

Nine friggin’ hours in Grand Rapids. X_x And not chance one to make it home to put poor Luna out. I kept hoping I could con Mom to come home and check on her, put her out really quick. Luna really doesn’t trust anyone to come in and take care of her. I’d really like to come home myself, but damnit, we sat around most of the time that we could have used to run home. It cost us $16 for lunch today at the hospitol, just 2 Sandwiches and two slices of pizza. Can't do that one again.

Seriously, today was not fun. And we get to repeat it tomorrow.

In other news, I’m almost finished with the Dictionary. I’m close enough, in fact, that as of this evening, I’m switching modes into getting Torrent’s new layout spliced and coded. Going to be slow going, thanks to the rest of this week, but I think I can toss it together for her. I’m waiting for Kasey (Insane Ramen Noodles) to get back to me on how her LJ layout turned out for her, but it looks like real life has swallowed her whole. I ended up having to get an account there myself so I could figure out how they want those formatted.

*thinks* What else? Cold and snowy here. *shivers* This place is pretty well insulated, but damnit, that wind is cutting right through. I’m in a sweatshirt with a long sleeve t-shirt underneath and I still feel like I’m wearing far lighter clothing.

The house is beginning to look like someone is celebrating Christmas. So far Echo and Kaze *knocks on wood* haven’t noticed the ornaments we’ve put up on our tree. We went and picked up nice pinkish-gold glazed glass ornaments today and Sally put them up on the tree while they were asleep. So far, so good. When we set it up, we had Echo climb it and then ride it to the floor. They ignored it from them on… until we put the beaded garlands up. Those just encouraged them to climb, so those went bye-bye. Lights, they didn’t notice. So we’re hoping they won’t notice the ornaments.

The tree looks really nice. We have four strands of clear lights on it, spread a gold lame’ tree skirt under it, and then those ornaments hung from burgendy ribbon hangers. So that whose section of the house is all gold, green, and burgendy. I’m digging it. =)
