(no subject)
Drake University Class of 2010!
I was admitted to my top choice school today, Drake University in Des Moines, IA. Im really excited, expcept one thing, it was the most expensive one I applied too. Big problem! So i really gotta buckle down on scholarships.
But im still excited, since i was actually kind of unsure about getting itn. I mean, it was also prob the hardest to get in (most competive) and as im sure you know, i didnt do so hot on the ACT. But im in know... which is exciting. Plus they dont have any General Studies program or any of that crap (like at St. Cloud). I was admitted to the Business college, with an undeclared major. In other words im semi-undecided. Prob be majoring in Marketing, but i can still decide for sure later.
So i was walking in with the mail. It starting to get dark out, and I couldnt see what came. All i noticed was a big blue envalope (that i couldnt tell if it said Drake or anything on it until i got in the garage... actually i thought it said Mr. and Mrs. Karen sigal on it, but it ended up being the adress of the enevelope over it i saw) when i noticed it was Drake. I also noticed something from Bradley, but a small envelople. So i assumed it was a recject letter from Bradley. Well turns out it was an envalope addressed to my parents (from Finacial Aid). But i was excited and kind of nervous at the same time about Drake. Afterall big envelops tend to be good envelops (from colleges at least), but i wasnt totally sure. But i opened the envelope tand a big brocure came out that said "YOU'RE IN."!!! So thats my little story. Im excited.
Well, done with my pre-calc hw. So i gotta finish my goverment power-point tonight and start these scholarships already!
