OMG, you know before that angry rant, I was going to write about my induction into Target. Oh how I got distracted. Basically it's been confirmed that I am going to be a checkout chick. I was a bit disappointed because the majority of people got to be on the floor, wandering around in the electrical department, or selling menswear...how hard is that? So I spent hours in the company of 10 other people. I think I'm the oldest. I'm the only person who has graduated from high school, a lot of people were in Year 10,11,12. I had a great time, we spent 4 hours filling in paperwork and jibing each other. I'm going to enjoy working at Target. The person who was going through the induction with us, Andrea was fantastic. She has a phobia of balloons like myself!!! I thought I was the only one! Also, we both have a frustration with being bombarded by Eagles propaganda (for different reasons...she is a Dockers supporter, while I just don't care). For the first 20/30 mins we were laughing our heads off at Andrea groaning and moaning at another co-worker hanging up clusters of balloons everywhere in Eagles colours. She wouldn't go away either, and just to spite her, she slammed the door open once and popped a couple. Then Andrea attempted to scream at her. Everyone is so jovial around here. Andrea also jokingly picked on another guy, making him read a lot of the paperwork because he made a joke about her being a Dockers supporter. Threatening to dock his pay, he claimed it was harassment, and it was funny because our booklet was on harassment...and that was pretty much the tone of the session. There was also a dodgy 80's TV - a National TV! (before they became Panasonic), and an even dodgier SQUARE VCR. We had to watch a dodgy harassment porn movie company video with dodgy 80's porn music in the background starring....SINDI FROM NEIGHBOURS! There were also some cute guys as well. I mean, cute guy. Heh heh. Not on the video, I mean in the session. Another guy had the biggest hair I've ever seen...like full on Justin from the Darkness type hair. With GEL. Almost like a perm but not quite.
