1. Total number of books I've owned: Shit. Time for a quick count... okay fuck that. About 350 in my room and about 70-80 under the house. I'm not going to think about those that I've gotten rid of.
2. The last book I bought: The Sun Also Rises - Ernest Hemingway
3. The last book I read: Heart of Darkness - Joseph Conrad. Thanks Georgie.
4. Five books that mean a lot to me:
1) The Little Prince - Antoine de Saint Exupery. (No, I'm not putting the fucking accents in)
2) The Prince - Niccolo Machiavelli
3) The Book of the New Sun - Gene Wolfe
4) The Dispossesed - Ursula K. LeGuin
5) Paradise Lost - John Milton
Everyone who I'd pass this thingy too has done it, methinks.
Some good books here, I think. And some books that I just can't forget. It's funny how much a place a book can become, so completely, completely immersive, a good book. A great book, however, it seems to me, keeps you right where you are. Odd. I should try and justify that, but Star Wars Episode Three has sapped my will to judge. Suffice to say 'from my perspective the Jedi are evil'.
