I haven't done one of these in a looooong time so I figured that this was long overdue.... especially 'cuz I kinda had to post here tonight anyway, so! What's been up with the fennec? I'll letcha know :)
FOXMAS 6 ANNOUNCED!
And we're officially on Frozen Oasis #25. Can you believe it? 1/4 of the way to 100! Anyway - this year's theme is going to be My Little Party: FOXmas is Magic. (Based on My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic). 'cuz... you know... that's what little girls always ask to get for Christmas. Well we're gonna give everybody ponies this year - boys and girls alike! In a very-pony FOXmas. :)
Details can be found on the Frozen Oasis community page. But for the most part, its the same rules as last year, same place, and about the same schedule.
CRAZY STRESS
Never enough time to do everything I need to do, and its really wearing me out. I'm not sure what to do about it. I seem to always have 10 things to do and I end up freezing and doing none of them. So then stuff just stacks up... I dunno how I overbook myself so completely... I guess I just overestimate how much I can get done in a given timeframe.
To try and reduce my stress, I went and got a massage for the first time from the local spa I go to. It was wonderful. It worked great... except that when I got home I realized I still have a ton of stuff to do and now I was down a couple hours. I'm not sure what would have been better for my stress levels... the massage, or getting a couple hours of work out of my "to do" bin and into my "completed" one.
This is the main reason I haven't been around, either. Sorry to all of you who've tried to contact me online in the past few months and gotten nothing back but static. Its really nothing personal.
CREATIVE ENDEAVORS ON HOLD
Everything has pretty much been on-hold since I started preparing for FOXmas 6 about a month ago. Artwork and planning and costume design... all that kindsa stuff, and honestly, I don't think its going to let up at all until FOXmas 6 is complete. I haven't been keeping up with my exercise like I should either, so that's gonna be a major time-expense leading up to FOXmas is just getting into the kinda shape where people will want to see me in costume and not be all like "ew?".I actually started this a month ago, and I'm on track to hit my target physique... so no worries. Just gotta stay away from the ice cream. Iccceee creeeeaaammm....
AND... GEEZ... THAT'S PRETTY-MUCH IT
I guess my life has gotten a whole lot more boring ever since I started the new job. I blame the 9:15 am meetings everyday. Everything good happens at night... and I've had a lot less time to myself at night than I am used to. Oh well. I suspect this too will eventually reach an equilibrium. I hope its sooner rather than later, though.
