I HAS JOB!!1!
So you heard it here first... (probably)... my unemployment has ended as of 9 am yesterday, when I faxed in my signed employment agreement. Now all I have to do is pass the background check (which I think will come out fine... I don't think they count Libertarianism or Furry as dismissible offenses ... yet) since I've never been arrested or filed for bankruptcy.
The job pays extremely well... much better than I would have expected, coming off of unemployment. I don't want to say exact figures, but its a decent raise over what I got at my previous employer... but better still is their bonus program. I've never worked at a company that actually gives out bonuses as part of their regular salary.... but in December, all employees who've worked more than six months at the company receive a 15-25% (yes thats right - A QUARTER of your annual salary!) bonus, depending on performance.
That's definitely an incentive to work hard if I've ever seen one...!
So I'd like to thank everybody who gave me their support during these hard times. And I hope that I never have to return the favor - but I'm here for all of you if you need me to.
And here's to hoping this never happens again..!
I start the new job on Monday.
New Jaspi Arts Up On FA
So I posted some arts on FA over the weekend and I've gotta say - it didn't go over very well at all. Seems that almost nobody likes my old art. :/ That's okay though... I kinda understand. I've gotten a lot better since and I hope you guys like my newer stuff more. This pic was sketched back in 2004/2005 at the Furfactory when that was around, and then I colored it in June 2006 while I was in school. I remember that because my roommate found out I was a furry when he walked in and saw me inking it on the screen (whoops!). Oh well. :P

Gettin It Back On Track - Frozen Oasis XXII
Life has been a little rough for me over the past month an a half (or so) and so I've really had to cut back on my spending, and even with all of that, I managed to rack up a good bit of debt. The new larger paycheck will be a welcome feeling when that starts rolling in come the end of March. Hopefully, however I will have enough to do all the stuff that I've promised over the last few months that Frozen Oasis XXII would have, and I still think it will be the best party the furry fandom has ever seen, regardless. I just hope we can make it even better!
