On a more pleasant note, Artichoke Joe's (the casino/hellhole where I work) has a local celebrity. The Cop, from the Village People is one of our regulars.
Thats right, we have our very own Village Person.
Apparently, back when they used to have a karaoke set up (why not with this many Asians in one place?) he would get up there and sing "Macho Man" from time to time.
Unfortunately, this particular gay icon (admit it, Sylvan) has proven that he has not improved with age. He is still as tacky as ever. Baggy jeans, a ***hideous*** sweater and cheap-ass K-mart "bling-bling". Tho, I do have to admit I dig the bright blue bowler hat.
This is particularly amusing to me because of Dark Day 3 (one of a series of LARPS my roommate and I ran, for those not in the know). Some people may remember that in one session of DDay 3 a group of us (Sylvan, Mike Amaral, Gideon, Mike Stover and myself) played the Village People (loooong story). And The Cop, was crushed to death by a falling lighting fixture. I have never before met some one I have ficticiously killed.
