I'm aching after going skating at Nathan Phillips Square today. Although it was raining and my pants were almost thoroughly soaked, and that the rental skates cost $9, I had lots of fun.
ZERO FALLS! Yeah baby! My cousin told me that I skate like I bowl - too hard and too fast. It was because I tried size 11 skates and they hurt so much that all I wanted to do was to skate 3 laps very quickly and then take a rest. I almost wiped out a few little girls when I turned the same corner where I always had some trouble. I guess I did okay despite not having skated for over 15 years!
The zamboni time is the best because there's always a few who think they're the best skaters and then wipeout as soon as they hit the ice!
Christmas dinner at my relatives' was meh. My mother was being a major pain in the ass for not being invited to anyone's house this year, although I did call to find out where it was being held. She was being really stingy with the presents this year even though it was my sis and I who paid for all the gifts for our relatives. Once we got there she wasn't in the mood and got all menopausal. Let's just say that the car ride home was just that.
Can't believe I still got gifts from relatives! Actually I just received envelopes with you-know-what in them. At least it'll help pay off the computer that I bought from Future Shop on Boxing Day. By the way, when I say that I'll never go shopping again on boxing day I'll really mean it next time? (right)
I'm working on New Year's eve and New Year's Day at 7 AM. 'Nuff said. Don't know if I'll do anything this year, but it's looking grim...
