I need a new backup program.
My lappy's hard drive crashed on Saturday. I wasn't too upset, because I had been backing up my laptop should such a disaster happen. All I had to do was order a replacement drive, stick it in, and away we go.
Well, yesterday I got my new hard drive and replaced my old 250GB for a shiny new 750GB and whee! It works! So, then I run my restore. Well, as it turns out, the backup program that comes with Vista neither backs up *.exe files, nor the registry. This means, I got most of my files back, but none of my programs work anymore.
So, here I am. Reinstalling all my programs. At least my game saves and such are still here. Small victory, I guess. Anyway, it's become sadly clear that I need a new backup program. Time to explore my options.
