Lies of the Night, Truth of the Light

From darkness I came
Blinded by the light
The darkness pulls me in
But I continue to fight

Unseen forces block my way
The darkness claws at my heart
The night is everywhere I go
The light and I are far apart

I seek You, Oh Light
Illuminate my heart again
Chase away the night
Show me my terrible sins

Darkness covered my eyes
Blinding me from You
Now I see the darkness
The closer I am to You

You say to me,
"The closer you get to the Light
The more clearly you can see the Darkness.
But do not be afraid, for I Am with you."
