Physical Torture

Dear Physical Plant,

I hate you. As I sit here baking in the heat, I think how much I loathe your existence. I don't see this happening in Northrop -- If Brazil's ass got the slightest bit stuffy, you would all be kicked to the curb. I don't know how much of the money I am paying to go here goes towards utilities, but I can pretty damn well guarantee that it's enough to cover a working air conditioning and ice maker.

PS. I don't blame you for being stupid, I blame you for being stupid and pissing me off.

Jasons don't like the heat. They are very much creatures of cold weather, which is why this one is excited about Detroit this summer. Woo WOO!

Hmm....

I read this today, and thought it pretty well summarized my thoughts on American Foreign Policy. As such, I also thought it was well tempered and poignant.

[T]he U.S. government refuses to judge itself by the same moral standards by which it judges others. ... Its technique is to position itself as the well-intentioned giant whose good deeds are confounded in strange countries by their scheming natives, whose markets it's trying to free, whose societies it's trying to modernize, whose women it's trying to liberate, whose souls it's trying to save. ... [T]he U.S. government has conferred upon itself the right and freedom to murder and exterminate people "for their own good."
