The
going to... series has no song about going to Seattle, but I am going to Seattle to see the Mountain Goats twice this week, then I have tickets to see them again the next weekend at the El Rey. Also on the horizon is Coachella and Blonde Redhead and Cowboy Junkies and if the guys on last.fm aren't lying and the Decemberists are really playing with Band of Horses at the Hollywood Bowl this July, that too.
Other things of note: I have moved again and I have a Wii. I refuse to buy a television so I ordered a component-out to VGA adapter, which has the added benefit of allowing me to use my next-gen consoles (pretty much just the Wii unless something else awesome comes out, which I doubt) in HD resolutions instead of normal TV 480i. The hard part was getting audio working; I had to Frankenstein together a system that has RCA-out male-female converters, which plug into an RCA to mini y-cable, which then plugs into a mini Y connector (along with the PC using a male-male mini cable) and that final shared mini-Y connects to my PC speakers.
Video games are fun but also kind of a hassle -- I like Wii Sports and WiiPlay (and soon WarioWare) because I can play for 5 minutes a day and not worry about getting bored. I already have a backlog of half a dozen Nintendo DS games that I have no intention of playing anytime soon.
Expect new Hypercomics within the month.
