To become a supervisor or not, that is the question.

There are many advantages and disadvantages to becoming a supervisor.

Advantages,
1. I would get to have a weekend day off. At least a good chance of this.
2. I would get a little ($300) more money per month. Maybe I would buy a motorcycle.
3. I would qualify for better state housing
4. I would have more control over the budget for the park.
5. More things could be done my way.
6. There would be a better chance of me promoting to a position of real power.

Disadvantages
1. It is a middle management position. (I'm the one that has to sell my orders to the line staff)
2. I would have to deal with the district office more often (They are the people that suck the most)
3. I doubt my current supervisor would want to hire me for the position.
4. My partner is going for the same job and I would then have to supervise him if I got the job. He would be very hard to supervise.
5. I do not think I have enough experience to be a good supervisor.
6. Everything that went wrong in the park would be my responsibility to fix.

Well I have time to decide if I want the job. I will test, interview and see how high I score. I would then be able to take a job as a supervisor. Even if I did not take the job at my park.

Other fun things at work. I would not let a couple of scum bags in after the park was closed. They came back late at night and cut the lock. They then got their truck out and chopped up one of our picnic tables.

On a personal note I'm really enjoying spending lots of time with J. We had a great day trip to apple hill and I'm headed to apple hill again on Sat. For some bike riding with Amy. On sunday I'm headed to a Ren faire and then later in the week I'm off to Redding to see an old High School friend.

Life is good!!!!
