goodbye orange cats
Ernie and Molly just left to go live with Patti. It was the right and only choice, since I cannot commit to taking care of three cats by myself, and they're too close to separate. But while I know this was what needed to be done (plus, Ernie always cared far more for Patti than he does for me) I'm still really sad to see them go. I've never had cats as open and sweet with everyone, and they really are just about the most affectionate cats I've ever had.
I know moving them is traumatic, but I think less so than it would have been for them to no longer live with Patti. They'd already gone through this when we had to adopt them from my grandmother's, so I'm hoping the this will be less disruptive.
But still, it won't be the same without them here.
