Today, my mouse finally died. Computer mouse. So, I decided to plop down $20 (of my mom's money. i'm completely broken) towards a new one. Myself and mother stopped by Best Buy first, but were soon headed towards Circuit City when Best Buy's options proved to be less than overwhelming.
I found a great 5-button mouse, optical, with optional PS-2 adaptor, should I ever need a mouse for a Playstation game. Whilst on line, a customer ahead of us asked about the difference between the full-screen and wide-screen versions of the Incredibles on DVD. Replied the cashier "Full screen is the full screen, and it takes up the whole TV screen. Widescreen, the top and bottom get chopped off." So, the smiling non-English speaking customer decided on the full-screen version, not knowing he had been led astray by a doofus.
Also, kind of interesting to think about, my mom asked why we always go to Best Buy, even if they usually suck compared to Circuit City. I find myself guilty of this willfull ignorance of reality. I've found some good deals at the City, but still always instinctually head to Best Buy first. Could it be the words? They both use alliteration, and have two-word titles. But I think B's are more pleasant to pronounce than C's that sound like S's. My theory is that, and a combination of the colors. Red being associated with stop, and blue and yellow, well, not associated with stop.
