Well folks,

Blatantly inspired by def_fr0g_42, I'm gonna list my favourite media stuff of 2010. I will try to only list things that came out during that year, but please bear in mind that I live in Australia and we are often behind the times in some respects.

I've considered doing a year-end Books list, but since my reading can be up to a century old and is almost never published the same year, I can't see the point. Same for comics.

I wanted to see Drive but missed it - although I had reservations because it looked like a rehash of the 1978 Walter Hill film. Maybe it'll be showing on the plane when I fly to Hawaii next weekend.

Actually, the book section was the most difficult. I read a lot of good stuff last year, but most of it was inelgibile. I would probably have have talked about ANATHEM anyway, but Stephenson has since put out REAMDE.

DRIVE is quite a different story from the Walter Hill movie, which I admit I haven't seen. Sounds like basically the same character, but the setup is very different.
