New baby
Since we found out that we are having another baby, I have gone through several phases, over a relatively short period of time:
1. Initial reaction - joy and delight
2. Secondary reaction - cold sweats in the middle of the night, worries about my health - I guess I have a tendency to think about my own mortality when I see my kids growing and realizing how quickly time goes by
3. Later reaction (after a few days) - comfort - God is in control ultimately and He knows what He is doing
4. Current feelings - back to joy and delight - excited about the new member of our family - it's amazing to see how babies develop, both inside mom and once they are out of the womb
I never really thought about it, but I wonder if there are stages of acceptance for birth just as the famous ones for death.
Frankly, we are both wondering if it's real, since Pam is not nauseous and sick yet, but I think we found out this time earlier than we ever have before.
Kids are so spectacular and interesting, and I am really looking forward to being a dad again.
