school life
First off I love my dorm really I do. Also love my roommate. However I think I would have meet more people if I was inone of the freshmen dorms. I however I hate Towers and Larned and love, love Linsley. On that note besides Shannon and Amanda who rock, I have mainly met creepy guys. Though theres this one freshmen kid in my dorm who doesn't seem as creepy as the other guys I've met.
Second of all I must be the only one in this whole school who doesn't miss home at all. I knew it would be dead on weekends here, but I'm just amazed that some people actually have a home they want to go back to. I really hope I don't have to go home for Columbus day weekend. I don't think I could stand being home that weekend. I want to go back to Salem the Saturday after though for the bizarre bazaar. Anyone want to hang out? the other thing that amazes me is the money some kids seem to here. i was lsitening to a young kid in my consmer economics class tell us how he was always buying ipods and new big screens tv. And he did say he worked at best buy, so he probably got a deal, but still. It must be nice. I'm not paying for school myself I'm getting help from parents and student loans, lucky me. But it's still a burden on all of us. And I hate my dad for acting like we have all this money when we don't if he would just cut that stupid satellite radio out of his car we wouldn't have to worry as much about school, or they could save up to fix up our house. I listen to this kids talk about all the movies they've seen and I have no idea what they're talking about because I either didn't see the movie becuase I didn't want or we just didn't have the money. When I was a kid I went to the movies probably once a year to see the Disney movie. I know people whose whole families go to see movies at least once a week. It's so amazing how different I am from everyone here. I still wouldn't go home for anything though, and in fact my room has basically been turned into it's orginal purpose a closet, because there's no way a room that size should have ever really been a bedroom.
