A French study of over 12,200 couples having fertility treatment suggests the chance of a successful pregnancy falls when the man is aged over 35. It adds that the chance is significantly lower if he is over 40.

I have rapidly been developing the philosophy that "fertility problems" that people experience later in life (like late 30s onward) are not actually pathological but rather a natural declining fertility that is actually a state of health rather than a state of disease.

Not that I'm saying people shouldn't have babies later in life, or that fertility tx shouldn't be at their disposal. This is not a political or policy position, its an observation of humanity.

But just imagine a world where we accepted the realities of our bodies fertility cycles and tried to plan a society supportive of everyone's needs & desires (for family, career, equality) around that instead of having women (and now men) try to "have it all" by thwarting the natural rythyms of their bodies.
