Sweet

What she needed, Seohyun decided, was a game plan.
As a general rule she wasn’t the best at ad-libbing-not like Sooyoung or Yuri or Hyoyeon…well, not like everyone else. But she was good at studying, and after a bit of practice Seohyun felt like she could accomplish things fairly decently. Time and practice and a bit of sweat-that’s what it took to improve. As such, she needed to practice what she was going to do.
What was she going to do, anyways? She had just been acting on the half-baked idea of wanting to impress or quite possibly woo Yoona. Nothing had come out of that, obviously. She had even practiced staring after she returned to her room, too, although all that intense staring resulted only in a headache. She’d need to confer with Sunny about her technique. Noted.
What would impress Im Yoona? Seohyun was not a hundred percent certain on this. Gifts would please her, certainly, but she was not so materialistic that it would be impressive and awe-inducing. No, she needed to do something else. She could always act nice and charming to Yoona-although if she smiled any more than she did her face might just stay in that expression which was most definitely bad because she wanted to be able to give Yoona ‘come-hither’ looks. If she wanted to stare hungrily at Yoona, a constant frozen smile plastered across her face would clash horribly with that. Seohyun grimaced at this mental image.
Right.
This was going nowhere-Seohyun considered seeking advice. It was a logical step, was it not? She should ask someone with more experience than she. She would have to be careful, however-her unnies tended to get a little giddy at the mention of romance. Especially Tiffany. As much as she loved her roommate, she really did not want to watch any more dramas. They tended to end sadly and she wanted a happy ending for once. All of her unnies were more experienced in one way or another-all of them could teach her how to be sexy. But there were seven equally-capable teachers for her to ask.
So who, then?
This was a dilemma.
The answer came to her. Literally.
“Seohyun-ah!” Taeyeon called. “Can you help me with this?” Seohyun walked into the entrance hallway to find the Kid Leader struggling under the weight of a huge cardboard box and rushed forward to help her with the load. They staggered into the living room and all but dropped it on the wood floor, plopping onto the couch with a loud exhalation.
“Where’s Manager-oppa?” Seohyun wondered. “Wouldn’t he be the one to carry this?”
“He’s taking Yoona to her shoot,” Taeyeon explained breathlessly, “otherwise I would’ve made Yoona carry it for me-she’s insanely strong, that girl.”
Seohyun smiled, thinking about Yoona and her slim but strong arms. “She is.”
Taeyeon’s ears perked at the odd tone and glanced over at the younger girl, double-taking at the dreamy expression. “Seohyun?”
“Hm?”
“. . .are you fantasizing about Yoona, by any chance?”
“No, of course not, unnie. Why do you say that?”
“Oh, nothing. You just looked especially happy.”
“Other things can make me look happy.”
“That’s true, but you had this look. . .”
“A look, unnie?”
“You know what? Never mind. What was I thinking? Of course you wouldn’t be thinking such thoughts.”
“But what if I was?”
“What?”
“What if I was, ah, thinking such thoughts?”
“. . .”
“Taeyeon-unnie? Are you okay?”
Sunny entered the room, lugging another box. “Hey. What’s with Taengoo?”
“I think I broke her, unnie.”
“Why? What’d you do?”
“I told her I was thinking thoughts.”
“. . .thinking thoughts. Right. Um, I’ll be. . .putting these in the bedroom.” As Sunny left hurriedly, Yuri and Sooyoung trudged through the door, getting bottlenecked in the doorway and squawking at each other to move. Seohyun watched as the two attempted to fit through the door at the same time.
“Welcome home!” Seohyun called.
“Hi, Seohyun!” The two called back hastily before going back to arguing.
Seohyun turned her attention back to Taeyeon, who was now sitting up and staring at her with an odd expression in her watery eyes. “Unnie. . .?”
“Our maknae is growing up~!!!” Taeyeon exclaimed, pulling the taller girl in for a bear hug. Seohyun squeaked, arms flailing, as she was thoroughly suffocated. Taeyeon paused at the lack of movement. “Uh? Seohyun-ah?”
Sunny had suddenly reappeared and was eyeing the pair warily. “What happened now?”
Taeyeon tried not to look guilty. “. . .I think I suffocated her.”
Sunny dragged a palm down her face. “A house full of crazies, that’s who I live with,” she muttered to herself, pushing past Yuri and Sooyoung and back outside.
Seohyun felt dizzy. Air. Wonderful, wonderful air. She could breathe again. What had she wanted to ask Taeyeon? Oh, right. “Unnie, you are experienced in the art of flirting, correct?”
Taeyeon looked alarmed. “Whoa, there, kiddo. If you want someone who can wink fifty times in fifteen seconds you better go to Sunny or Yuri. Yuri is a master at flirting. Look at her. She’s so smooth that Sooyoung doesn’t even know.”
Seohyun’s eyes wandered over to the still-squabbling couple, observing intently. They looked like they were just arguing as usual, though. Wait. There. Yuri’s hands were very sly, it seemed. Sooyoung was so caught up in trying to escape Yuri’s clutches that she did not even realize where Yuri’s clutches were situated. Yuri’s hand slid a little further and then Sooyoung definitely noticed.
“YAH! KWON YURI!”
Taeyeon sighed happily. “Ahh, I have taught her well.”
Seohyun thought about this. To get Yoona to notice her she must do what Yuri did? Good to know. She would implement this plan as soon as she got home.
“Ah, I understand now,” Seohyun said. She clapped her hands together. “I will do my best to flirt! Unnie, you will be proud of me!” The three girls stared after Seohyun as she skipped off.
“Why do I a bad feeling about this?” Taeyeon sighed.

Yoona slipped out of her shoes, stretching as she shuffled into the living room. She was met with the adorable sight of Seohyun splayed awkwardly across the couch, limbs akimbo and neck at a rather painful angle. Yoona smiled affectionately, letting her bag fall softly to the floor and taking Seohyun into her arms.
She managed to stagger into the girl’s room and deposit her safely without any major problems, barring her stubbed toe. She hesitated over the sleeping girl, reaching out slowly to brush away a lock of hair that was tickling Seohyun’s nose. Yoona ran a finger down the side of Seohyun’s face, hovering over parted lips. She blinked quickly and turned away, stumbling back through the dark to her own room.
Seohyun sat up and pouted.
Plan B: fail.
Did she not purse her lips sexily enough? Ahh, another dilemma to ask the unnies. Well, it’d have to wait until the morning-she had stayed up late in order to properly drape her body across the couch to entice Yoona. Too late, it seemed, for her lids drooped closed.
Plan C would have to wait for tomorrow.
