I think he said something alonge the lines of 'You're a good guy, but I could see it a while ago." This is already mid-conversation, so I'm not giving a lot of expository comments. Now, the last time I saw him probably being in 2002 at the latest, I inquire just how long ago.

Erik: you need a purpose in life. live for something. be something. you ( Read more... )

I want to go to Milan for my birthday. Who do you think I can trick into going with me?

And by Milan, I totally meant Venice.

That's so weird. I was just telling Kevin last night that I wanted to blow off school and go drink wine in Venice. It was probably because Venice was on TV, and I'd be willing to go just about anywhere right now instead of doing work. But I actually do want to go to Venice. I just can't, because I'm broke.

So my answer is, I don't know. But if you know anyone with the requisite $$, it shouldn't have to be a trick. Venice is awesome (I hear).

Commenting on your blog just inspired me to revisit my LJ, and I found the post where you got into a 70-comment fight with that cunt about serving. It made me fall in love with you all over again.

Also, your mail came this week. You are so awesome. It means we can eat again this month. ;-)

Eating, I have found, is actually not overrated, as commonly believed.

I totally got into my argument with out new bar manager, who is a big, (dumb), black lady about whether or not it was prejudice/stereotyping to think that the majority of the 'Canadian' tables that we get at our restaurant are bad tippers or not. It was fun and loud and in the middle of the bar at lunch because I refuse to ever back down from an argument. (That may be a problem.)

It's not a stereotype if:
a.) It's more frequently than not borne out by reality
and
b.) You don't let that stop you from treating people the same way you treat everyone else and expecting the best, not the worst, of each individual.

That's my take.

Will you be in DE Dec. 20-30? I'll be in Baltimore then, but I might make a visit to the old stoming grounds.

These are the exact points I made. Stop recording my conversations and then selling them on the internet. Or at least give me a profit.

I'm probably working XMas ever, so I'll be in town until then. I got screwed out of my vacation for this year so I'm not taking my usual Dec 26 - January 1st break, so I don't know if I'll be in town after Xmas.
