Well sorry for not posting the rest of my day yesterday but honestly I had no chance whatsoever. School was cool, I dunno about my Anthopology Class...it's not bad, and the teacher is very knowledgable in her field, it's just....well i dunno. I make no opinions of it yet, as it was only the first day. It'll be a challenging class though. I've already ran into my first problem with it...I have an assignment due on Thursday. What's the problem you're wondering? I have no textbook. Neither does the bookstore at Columbus State. Neither doest he Library of Columbus State, nor does the Library of Columbus, Barnes and Noble and Waldenbooks don't have them in stock, but I can order them off the web...does me little good to get the issue resolved. Well i emailed the professor so we'll see what she has to say.
Other problems...it seems from 12pm-12am was just a shitty day. I get to campus and shut my car door, open it back up because I forgot something. Opened the driver's door...the latch that latches to the frame to keep the door shut, locks. I tried to pry it open but I didn't have anything strong enough....so I think quickly. I decide to brave driving to Claude's surely he'll have a screw driver or something I can use. I drive about 3 miles from campus to his cafe' and the whole way holding the door so it doesn't fly open. God that sucked. Well I got there and luckily he did have one, so I got the door fixed (nothing wrong with it, it just froze). So i rush to school get to class in just enough time. go through the anthropology stuff. and head off to work.
I get to work, and it's not too bad...a little busy, but nothing horrible. At this point I'm tired off my ass (I am not used to getting up at 7am, and then being up for 8 hours, and then working an 8 hour shift) sit down....things are going smoothly. Till around 8pm. Then all hell seems to break loose, and Matt's sending Shane, Jorden, Paul, Osauma, and Ray to their teir 3 #'s...that leaves....4 of us to take calls...okay, not horrible, just like before the new tier 3's were hired. Then we get a red queue...okay. Still not panicing...we've been through this before...only the queue doesn't go away....*FINALLY* me and the new guy eric killed it. As soon as I did that I was told ot go into my West Tier 2 #. So yeah...the rest of the night taking west tier 2 calls. I think I had about 9-11 minute talk times though, not bad for not taking a tier 2 call in over 4 months. But yeah I also got talked to by Matt about leaving early on Monday. I explained to him why, and he told me about his schedule (He works friday 4:30 - 1...drives to Springfield (like 45 min)....and has to be at class at 8am the next day and then works 4:30-1 again that night.) and it was a bit humbling...still. So yeah...not fun. I really like Matt. I feel bad when I let him down...sounds stupid I know, but he's the best supervisor I've had, so I should give him a bit more of myself. Only good thing about work is that I cleared out that MCO West Trouble Tickets that were older than 48 hours...134 of them....Shane and I have been hitting those hard when we can...me west, him east.
Then I came home and talked to Lindsay and was a bit bitchy with her....I didn't mean to be, it was just lack of sleep and stressful night...:( *sigh* This full time school and full time work is going to prove to be interesting. I am sure I can do it...just have to develop my groove ;)
