Soooo.....where to begin. I finally decided to take the dive into the world of blogging, thanks to Hilary, who gave me the idea haha. Normally I don't quite enjoy revealing to the masses how my life is going, as I like to keep myself shrouded in an aura of mystery , but I decided it would be quite amusing for me to do so for once. Currently, I'm listening to some light bossa nova while working on the saxophone quintet that I've been composing for the past month or so. It's prety much done; just playing around with some of the harmonies and articulations/dynamics/etc. I can't wait to get everyone together to practice it and it hear it in person; should be quite challenging though (comahn, did you really think that I would compose something easy to play :P ). I finished writing the MASL questions this weekend for the third meet....that should give me a bit more sleep next Sunday night. Musical rehearsal went well tonight it seemed, we still have quite a bit to master/learn, but it is certainly coming along.
After getting into MIT back in December, school has gone by painfully slow, and it seems like going to school everyday is merely a formality. I can't wait for high school to be over with; I'm not even learning anything, it's simply a waste of my time.....well, I guess I shouldn't complain, I still get to do some things that I enjoy like the musical and concert and jazz band, but everything is else is kind of blah-esque. In addition to this, my current worries include, but are not limited to: selling enough ADs for April 1st, finding a date for Prom (this is pretty high up on my list hahha), mastering Creston Sonata 3rd Movement on the Alto Sax, improving my vowel shaping when I sing, memorizing all of my lines and music for the musical by April 5th, hoping everything goes well for the 3rd MASL meet, and learning/improving my ability to use vibrato in singing and in playing my sax.
That concludes my random post.....enjoy this rare occasion, you might not see another post for an extremely long time.
