dude, it was a FANTASTIC OPENING NIGHT at Rude Guerilla Theatre Company last night! in fact, i just got home from it and the post-reception and the post-reception-post-party at the restaurant around the block. the show: several new one-act plays by Orange County local Aurelio Locsin, under the umbrella name "Asian Acting."

i am in one of the one-acts entitled "Xian", as in the province in China. it's about masked pregant women...initially. and yes, this is the closest i will EVER get to actually being a pregnant woman, despite what affection that my director and some fellow actors feel toward expectant mothers. anyway, you will have to see it to find out what happens! this is a great show - very different from mainstream theatre - so if you like to support new and original work, come down to see it; we'd be pleased and proud to perform for you. (be sure to mention that you're there to see me, btw!)
so that is what i'm doing for the next 3 weeks, now that the caroling season is over. and it was a very fun and lucrative season - yay! lots of changes for The Ja, too, but i think that's another post. happy new year, all!
