So... Today is like any other day. I woke up, had some coffee, received some wonderful emails requesting that I pursue one of my aforementioned failed projects, and then proceeded to the pool to find melanoma

I hate people like you! My roommate was outside for two hours and got nothing. Currently, I am in the itchy stage of my burn and I must say this... It is far worse than the painful stage. I cannot study for my finals I am so distracted. Perhaps my professors will sympathize...

James, I did not know you were not a natural blonde! So tell me, I'm dying to know, being a brunette myself: is it true that blondes really do have more fun??

I truly, truly appreciate your comments Erin. I, also (and this is definitely not lost on me), applaud that you title your comments. There's nothing wrong with not titling ones comments, but I just think that each comment deserves a name. I am a big advocate of literary individuality (not sure if that even makes sense, but it is written).
Also, I went to Tally and they seemed to like my darker, natural colored hair over my blonde hair (shrugs). I too was under the predisposition that blondes have more fun, but like most things one hears it is not necessarily the truth. Perhaps it is because I did not bleach it out on a regular basis and would often have inch to inch and a half roots showing, thus giving people the impression that my hair was always dirty... Maybe.
These are my confessions...

To quote Usher (whom I actually despise, but I thought it was an appropriate title...I, too, am a big advocate of "literary individuality." Plus I just like little catch phrases; I think it's a good prelude to the meat of the message).
So, James, here goes:
Although your natural locks are sight unseen, I would probably have to agree with your Tally friends. I confess that I, too, succumbed to the impulse to highlight my hair. It was hideously expensive and I was not in love with it. Frankly, I am not enamored of the look, but in these modern times it is socially accepted to be quite the thing - de rigeuer - for both sexes. Through the voice of experience, I can definitively say that I much prefer people au naturale, with very few exceptions.

P.S. Thank you for your appreciation. :-) I feel warm and fuzzy.
