It turns out that spoony as an adjective and a noun has been in use for hundreds of years, according to the Oxford English Dictionary. Who knew? Maybe that wasn't a mistranslation at all.

Also HOLY FUCKING CHRIST it snowed so hard it snowed inside my windows, between the main window and the storm window. Jesus.

I love it.

Eh, reply to point out anything that suits you. I didn't even know that you still read my journal. I got into October Project when I worked at relay, before you left, so it's possible you had a hand in it. I think it was Beth though.

As far as the spoony thing, it means foolish, or overly amorous, or excessively sentimental, at least according to OED, so not a particularly harsh insult. Appropriate for a bard though, even if it isn't what they originally meant. Especially the amorous part.
