Justice O'Connor Set To.......Retire?!

I found THIS, whilst traipsing about my friendslist:
Sandra Day O'Connor is retiring from the Supreme Court
This caused a string of nasty expletives to issue from my mouth, and I (hoping this was a VERY late April Fools) read on, each second praying that this was all a hallucination. But that was not to be the case.
This is really happening. The last strong voice of hope is leaving, and while Dubya is in a position to throw the most Neo-Nazi, archconservative, put-gay-back-into-the-APA-book preaching, KKK member he can find to monopolize the government.
THIS is what happens, ladies and gentlemen, when mainstream US media becomes infused with "OMG BEAT TEH GAYZ". Dubya took the 'House again. The House and Senate ran red, and not just with the blood of the homosexual movement, which was inching forward until he crushed it. And now, we're about to have a primarily conservative Supreme Court. And there's ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that can be done about it.
The worst part of all is, once he gets his nominee in there, which I doubt very highly he'll fail to do since his party controls the rest of the government (including the nomination committee), each and every forward-thinking decision in the last 50 or more years will likely be overturned. Homosexuality being part of the person instead of a lifestyle or disease? Gone... it'll be back in the APA books faster than you can say "Heil Dubya". Segregation? Wouldn't doubt it. Women in the workplace? Not on your life, Norma Rae.
I take back what I said before... that WASN'T the worst part. The worst part is, I can't afford the $300 to move to Canada. Cuz I'd rather be anywhere than the US when he gets his nominee into the Court. That's when the timer starts until I'm in a mental ward for liking dick.
I'd say something along the lines of forwarding this, or making a post of your own, if this idea shocks you and you want to protest... but as last November showed me, my voice doesn't mean shit anymore, and neither does any other gay voice. We're already doomed... it's a matter of time until we're crushed. I envy those able to escape the country... and I wish desperately I could be one of them.
